A Russian and a Ukrainian national were arrested for operating a cryptocurrency money-laundering ring that handled 60 billion yen for ransomware hackers, according to the Japanese National Police Agency.

• Arrests were made in a joint operation involving NPA, Europol, and U.S. and European agencies.
• The laundering service, called AudiA6, processed illicit crypto assets for global cybercriminals.
