A traditional healer in Limpopo was jailed for eight years after raping a woman who sought his treatment, following an investigation that led to his re-arrest in 2025.

• Traditional healer Daniel Masinga sentenced to 8 years for raping a 38-year-old woman in June 2020.
• Victim was given a concoction that made her disorientated, then assaulted while naked and threatened with a firearm.
• Masinga fled after initial bail, was re-arrested in 2025 and convicted after evidence gathered by investigating officer Sgt Letsatsi Mojalefa.
