Three people were injured in a clash between Kuki protesters and security personnel during a highway blockade in Manipur's Kangpokpi district. The blockade on National Highway 37 was lifted after government assurances on safe transport of essential commodities to Kuki-Zo villages. Kuki civil society organisations had blocked the highway to protest alleged selective security operations targeting Kuki-Zo villages. Women activists also demanded the release of four Arambai Tenggol members arrested in ethnic violence cases.
