Officials were directed to accelerate the Vijayawada airport terminal construction to meet the Dasara deadline, with the new facility set to enhance passenger capacity and connectivity.

• Union Minister Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma instructed officials to expedite the Vijayawada airport terminal construction before Dasara.
• The new terminal will cost ₹824.28 crore, cover 51,315 square metres, and handle 3.5 million passengers annually.
• The project includes 24 check-in counters, eight customs counters, six boarding bridges, and an elevated access road.
