NMC draws the curtain on PG diploma courses; MD/MS to become sole path for specialist training (opens original article in a new tab)

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the phase-out of postgraduate diploma courses, making MD/MS degrees the sole path for specialist training from 2027-28. It also withdrew a proposal for mandatory three-year rotational systems for Heads of Departments.
