Jharkhand RS polls: Cross voting allegations ‘unwarranted’, CPI(ML) Liberation leader writes to Congress chief Kharge (opens original article in a new tab)

CPI(ML) Liberation denied cross-voting allegations against its MLAs in Jharkhand Rajya Sabha polls, calling the claims unwarranted and damaging to the INDIA bloc's trust, as Congress blamed them for their candidate's defeat.

• CPI(ML) Liberation leader Dipankar Bhattacharya wrote to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to protest allegations of cross-voting against his party's MLAs in Jharkhand Rajya Sabha polls.
• The party stated that their MLAs voted for Congress candidate Pranav Jha as planned, and accused Congress of making unverified allegations that undermine trust within the INDIA bloc.
• Congress blamed CPI(ML) Liberation and RJD for the defeat of their Rajya Sabha candidate, while BJP-backed Independent Parimal Nathwani won one seat and JMM's Baidyanath Ram the other.
