Govt hikes passport fee structure from July (opens original article in a new tab)
The Indian government has increased passport application fees for ordinary and tatkal services, effective July 1, 2026, with new rates for 36-page and 60-page passports.
- Government increases passport fees for fresh and reissue applications effective July 1, 2026
- Ordinary 36-page passport fee rises from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500, tatkal from Rs 3,500 to Rs 5,000
- 60-page ordinary passport fee increases from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,500, tatkal from Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000
