Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) rose to the 701-710 band in the QS World University Rankings 2027, reflecting its progress in academic excellence, research, and sustainability.

• UMT improved its QS World University Rankings 2027 position to 701-710 globally from 801-850 in 2026.
• UMT achieved a sustainability score of 63.9, placing it among the top 10 institutions in this area.
• UMT's Citations per Faculty indicator reached 159.5 per academic staff member, surpassing the global median of 59.9.
