A silat trainee pleaded not guilty in Kuala Lumpur to sedition charges for Facebook posts that insulted the Yang di-Pertuan Agong institution.

• Silat trainee Raden Mohd Azrul Amirulla pleaded not guilty to sedition charges over Facebook posts insulting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
• The charge under Section 4(1)(c) of the Sedition Act 1948 carries a maximum penalty of RM5,000 fine or three years imprisonment or both.
• The court set bail at RM5,000 with one surety and required the defendant to surrender his passport.
