Airbus orders urgent A380 wing inspections after cracks found (opens original article in a new tab)

Airbus has ordered urgent inspections of 16 A380 aircraft after cracks were discovered in wing components, with five planes to be inspected immediately. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) mandated the inspections following routine maintenance checks. The cracks were found in a structural beam that carries aerodynamic load during flight.
