A 1.2-kilometre cycling and walking route linking Ledra Palace crossing to Pedieos River corridor has been completed as part of a EU-funded project aiming to restore natural habitats and create public spaces in Nicosia.

• First phase of Pedieos River/Kanlı Dere Restoration Project completed with 1.2-km cycling and walking route
• Project funded by EU under Aid Programme for Turkish Cypriot community, aims to restore habitats and create public spaces
• Phase two works to start in September 2026 to develop continuous walking/cycling route across Nicosia
