Brampton considers naming a park after OPP Const. Tarun Bali, who was killed in the line of duty while conducting an investigation near Hearst, Ont.

• OPP Const. Tarun Bali was killed by a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old who had escaped a hospital.
• Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown plans to rename a city park after Bali at a council meeting.
• Bali was assigned to central Ontario’s Dufferin detachment and was on voluntary deployment with the James Bay detachment at the time of his death.
