A repeat offender was sentenced to jail and fined for performing unsafe, uncertified gas installations in Ontario, following an investigation by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority.

• Robert William Seager found guilty of working without a certificate on over 300 gas appliances in Durham Region
• Sentenced to 30 days in jail, $10,000 fine plus 25% surcharge totaling $12,500, and two years probation
• TSSA investigation found Seager performed unsafe gas work without proper certification and caused property damage
• Seager previously fined $4,000 in 2022 for same violation
