The National Environment (Amendment) Bill passed its second reading in Parliament with majority support, despite opposition from some members.

• Second reading of National Environment (Amendment) Bill approved in Parliament with 113 votes in favor and 10 against.
• 101 MPs, including 45 from ruling party, were absent during the vote.
• Opposition SJB walked out of the chamber opposing provisions related to Provincial Councils, but one SJB MP voted against the Bill.
