Bangor man found with indecent images after being stopped by police for defective light, court hears (opens original article in a new tab)

A Co Down man was sentenced to two years of probation after admitting to 17 charges of making indecent images of children, following a police stop for a defective light that led to the discovery of 37 images on his phone.

• Thomas Windrum, 43, admitted to 17 charges of making indecent images of children between December 31, 2019 and May 31, 2021.
• Police stopped Windrum's car for a defective light in 2021, leading to the discovery of 37 indecent images on his phone during a triage.
