Irish government to contribute £197m to cross-border rail services (opens original article in a new tab)
The Irish government is investing €228m in cross-border rail services between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including €193m for rail infrastructure and €35m for continued hourly Dublin-Belfast trains until 2030. Additional funding includes €3m for cricket facilities in Belfast as part of the 2030 T20 World Cup plans and other projects under the Shared Island Fund.
