Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to a £52m deal with Brighton for Dutch defender Jan Paul van Hecke, who has a year left on his current contract. The transfer will see him rejoin former Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi in north London, aiming to improve Tottenham's performance after recent poor finishes. Van Hecke played a key role in Brighton's European qualification last season.
