Foreign capital inflows of US$1.06 billion into Indonesian financial instruments followed a central bank rate hike, strengthening the rupiah.
- Bank Indonesia raised its benchmark interest rate to 5.50 percent
- Foreign investors injected Rp19.02 trillion (US$1.06 billion) into SRBI and government bonds
- The rupiah strengthened 0.84 percent against the U.S. dollar
