Apple drops support for a long list of iPads and Apple Watches with latest OS updates (opens original article in a new tab)

Apple has stopped supporting older iPad and Apple Watch models with the latest OS updates, removing several generations from compatibility lists for watchOS 27 and iPadOS 27.

• Apple dropped support for four Apple Watch generations in watchOS 27, limiting updates to Series 10 and above, Ultra 2 and above, and SE 3.
• iPadOS 27 removed support for M1-powered iPad models, including 3rd to 5th generation iPad Air and 8th generation regular iPad.
• Apple maintains support for iPhone 11 models with iOS 27, despite dropping support for newer Apple Watch and iPad models.
